Buransh is a botanical tree that is found in a tropical climate. The botanical name of buransh is rhododendron arboretum. Buransh acts as an anti-diabetic, antioxidant, digestive. It can be used in diseases like kidney disorders, anorexia, eczema.
Buransh is considered the national flower of Nepal. We can use the flower or leaf of this tree. Juice of flowers is considered very refreshing it is used as a welcome drink. And gives a cooling effect to our body. The taste of the flower is sour and sweet so need not add any preservatives or extra sugar to it.

So along with lots of benefits of the tree, it has got some side effects.
Leaves of buransh are poisonous as it has phytochemicals. A high dose of it may lead to toxicity. In large amounts, the juice of the flower should be avoided. It may give side effects on heart patients. In heart issues and diabetes, some drugs may give side effects after interacting with the chemical compound of leaves.
Following are some side effects listed:
- Bradycardia
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Generalized weakness
- Blurred vision
- Shock
Therefore, for taking these types of supplements we should fix the dose after the suggestion of a doctor. They will decide the dose after considering the age, medical history of a particular patient.
