Most people define “healthy living” as having both physical and mental health that is balanced and works well together. Physical and mental healths are frequently intertwined, and changes in either can have a significant impact on the other. As a result, some of the advice from our CEO, Mr Ashish Thakur, will contain recommendations for “healthy living” on the emotional and mental levels.
Mr Ashish Thakur, being the CEO, not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also follows it religiously. He believes that as a leader, it is your obligation to model the behaviour you want people to emulate.
This article is intended to provide readers with advice on how to enhance or improve actions in their lives to lead a healthy lifestyle; it is not intended to be all-inclusive but will include significant elements that are thought to be parts of a lifestyle that lead to good health.
Here are some healthy lifestyle tips from our CEO, Mr Ashish Thakur:
-
Reduce Your Stress Levels
Mr Ashish Thakur believes that stress is the prime cause of your ill health
and a regular contributor. Anxiety, impatience, burnout, apathy, and sadness are a few variations of stress. Stress is harmful because you do not realise its consequences until it is too late. In addition to its immediate effects, stress weakens your body by harming your digestive and cardiovascular systems. As a result, you must manage your stress if you want to keep your body healthy.
-
Make Exercise a Habit
Try to exercise for 30 minutes a minimum of five days a week, or 150 minutes per week. The objective is to maintain physical activity, whether that be through walking, running, swimming, or at-home Pilates exercises. Exercise lowers your chances of contracting ailments as a result of a sedentary lifestyle and aids in maintaining a healthy weight.
-
Find a Work-Life Balance
You may believe that your work is everything. But your life is just as significant. Thus, it is essential to make time for your partner, kids, health, and relaxing activities, says Mr Ashish Thakur. According to a study, spending an equal amount of time on work and family helps you manage your stress levels and can help you perform better at work. Therefore, you must strike a balance between your career and personal life.
-
Eat a Healthy Diet
Mr Ashish Thakur suggests consuming a variety of foods, such as fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and whole grains. Adults should take at least five pieces (400g) of fruit and vegetables daily. Always including vegetables in your meals, snacking on fresh fruit and vegetables, eating a variety of fruits and vegetables, and eating them in season can increase the number of fruits and vegetables you consume. Also, you can lower your chance of developing non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer, by consuming a nutritious diet.
-
Get Enough Good Sleep
The immune system and sleep are closely related. Your body can strengthen and heal itself if you receive seven to nine hours of sleep per night. Your physical and mental well-being depends on getting enough sleep.
